Overhauls and kits are in three
levels so
you can pick how much you want to do.Kit #1 includes all new resistors and capacitors for the circuit board, and all the filter capacitors (and the can cap for champs and Princetons). All the parts to replace everything on the amp's circuit board. We use the best carbon composition resistors and MALLORY CAPS for the audio signal, the best tone caps there are. Vibratos are rebuilt with select metal film capacitors for increased stability and tone. Each kit includes a copy of the Pre CBS or CBS era circuit board layout and a schematic of the amp, plus instructions for doing a good job on your overhaul. Kit #2 includes all of Kit #1 (resistors and capacitors for the circuit board) plus all the control pots (potentiometers) the jacks, on-off switches, and all new tube sockets for the whole amp. Pretty much a full overhaul of everything that can wear out. The special can cap is included in kit #2 for the Champs and the Princeton reverb Kit #3
takes you all the way
with all of kits #1 and #2 (resistors, capacitors, filter caps, pots,
switches, jacks, tube sockets) and includes a fresh set of select tubes
- with matched power tubes and high quality preamp and rectifier tubes.Kit #3 also includes a new reverb spring unit (if the amp has reverb) and new reverb cables. The whole thing! Check out the latest kits. New ones added all the time. Your amp will come up next!! These kits require a bit of experience. You will be working from the original Fender layout drawing for the amp. Parts are replaced with exact replacements and instructions are included. You will be soldering to assemble all the parts to the original circuit board. Kits are not repair kits. They are an overhaul of the stock amplifier circuit. If a kit listed two amplifiers it does not include ALL parts for both. Many, many Fender amp versions vary by only a couple of resistors or capacitors - these kits have these few extra parts to overhaul the slightly different versions of the amp. Usually 3 or 4 parts.
