The Torres Designed Super Texan amp is one of the most popular custom amps in the world. Unlike a lot of boutique amps, it offers advanced modern features such as channel switching and a tube buffered effects loop. Features: Two complete channels. The perfect blackface tone Clean channel has volume, treble, bass and midrange, and a dedicated preamp tube for the clean channel. Overdrive channel has a rich, warm blues/rock overdrive without the heavy metal rasp or irritating tone. Kind of like a Dumble or a good black face Fender turned up to about 15. It has gain, (master) volume, treble, bass and midrange and a dedicated tube also. Master features (for both channels) include reverb on both channels, a Torres Dual Stage master for the whole amp, and a tube buffered effects loop. Power tubes use a Black Face type driver and 6L6 tubes for the 50 watt, 6V6 tubes for the 20 watt amp. A total of six preamp tubes (4 x 12AX7, 2 x 12AT7), two power tubes and a rectifier tube Other features: 100% all tube Torres Orange drop capacitors throughout Torres Fiber/phenoloic eyelet point to point circuit board Super Quality Hammond transformers all tube reverb (transformer driven) accutronics spring reverb Switchcraft jacks and switches Torres custom made steel chassis with chrome faceplate.
