Here is the much awaited "Gibson Classic Style" single coil pickup. The Torres P90s are very quiet and have a very defined and round bass response. Nice "raw", powerful midrange with singing highs. Overall, it has a perfectly balanced frequency response when clean. It is sweet with a grinding tone, and full of harmonics under distortion. Sustain is Excellent. ALL THE TORRES P-90 Pickups have our new "low noise" winding technology applied. They are still true single coils, but much lower noise then other P-90 Pickups due to tech developments by Dan Torres and the Pickup staff. The BUZKUT is additionally lower noise as well as an ALL NEW P-90 SINGLE COIL. It has a crisp, clean, clear tone with amazing output and punch - much wider frequency response then the old P-90's and far better, cleaner bass response. A fantastic new pickup. THERE ARE SO MANY P-90 GUITARS out in the last 10 years. You may have one that is a good guitar but suffering in tone - The Torres P-90 Pickups really perk up all those guitars and the BUZKUT P-90 takes them into an all new place. The Torres P90 pickup comes with six adjustable poles pieces, ALNICO V bar magnets (2, 5 or 8) and 42 gauge formvar wire in the soapbar style. The Torres P90s are available in three models - the Very Vintage, BUZKUT and the Blues model. The Very Vintage is the classic Standard Gibson output pickup. Fairly Smooth and clean. This pickup is very versatile going from jazz (clean) to rock when distorted. A great neck position pickup. Available in creme and black. All can be Supplied RWRP if used for a neck position for noise cancellation. The Blues is 10% overwound. It has a lot of additional warmth and bite. Tons of sustain. Perfect for the bridge position and a great set for a "hot vintage" sound. Info: A "soapbar" pickup is called that because it looks sort of like a bar of soap. it fits into a routed cavity in the top of your guitar. Look at a 54 Les Paul for the Classic Soapbar look. The "Dogear" pickup is mounted on the top of the guitar body with two little wings (dogears) sticking out of the sides of the pickup to mount it with a couple of screws. relatively primative. Look at a 57 Les Paul Jr. for the Classic Dogear look. The pickups inside are exactly the same, it is just the mounting method - they use different frames, not just difference covers so we need to know which one your guitar needs. |
