The Supro Thunderbolt is one of the most sought after vintage amps.  It
is famous for that huge, big fat, warm tone, and incredible rock/blues
break-up. A favorite of Jimmy Page and lots of the other guys. Good vintage Thunderbolts are virtually impossible to find. it was a "cheap amp" and they just sort of fall apart. The prototype of this amp is in our shop for you to try. it has THE TONE, rockin' on forever! This Download includes the complete plans, instructions and all-color layouts to build the Torres Supro Thunderbolt amp. Features of the Torres Thunderbolt Two x 5881 power tubes, Two 12AX7 preamps Tube Rectifier All hand-wired point to point AND including an extra "Dan Torres Designed" channel with a Modified Thunderbolt tone. The amp was designed to fit into a Tweed 5E3 Deluxe chassis and the included parts list has an output trans with 4, 8 and 16 ohms output. it can drive any speakers that match the impedance. The parts list is included also. This is a DIY (do it yourself) project. not a kit. You will need an unzip program to extract the zip file. Everything is in virus-free PDF format.
