Modification to repair the problem with the early Vibro Kings. They would burn up the EL84 Reverb tube due to design errors. The tube is a single ended Class A amp and it was biased way, way too hot - far beyond the capacity of any tube. The kit is fairly easy to do, and besides making the amp more dependable, the reverb sounds much better without the horrid crossover distortion caused by incorrect bias. |
