Our kits are always all tube - designed carefully and fully tested prior to becoming a kit. All the kits have the vintage fiber/phenolic circuit board included, plus all the parts to build the circuit. These are NOT printed circuit boards, but old fashioned Eyelet type boards such as found in old Fenders, Marshalls and Ampegs. All kits may require some metal drilling and fitting. Regular hand tools are needed for assembly. We have tested many, many capacitors to get the right blend of warmth, tonal quality and reliability and have our name on the custom made 418P series Orange Drop capacitors. Our instructions include very detailed drawings, including full size layout drawings, showing location of all parts not as schematics, but as illustrations of the parts. Part values are included on the drawings. Assembly is made very easy as each stage of the project is illustrated separately. Full written instructions are also included, plus schematics for those who need them. Also included are "basic instructions" with details of part color codes, how to discharge capacitors, fine tuning hints, and detailed troubleshooting help. Full kits (suggested for new kit builders) include the metal chassis correct for the amplifier, and all parts for the complete amp up to the specs the kit is designed for. Super quality transformers and the best tubes are always included in the full kits. Our custom made chassis are designed for ceramic tube sockets and drilled correctly for them.
